See See's First Trip to Boca

So my lovely sista Sarah is in town!  We have had such a great time over the last few days exploring Boca and surrounding cities.  Here's a little breakdown of the ground we've covered:

Day 1:  Boca Raton
Lunch at Saquella (the most amazing sandwiches and breads ever), car rides all around Boca, tour through our 800 sq ft apartment, and finished the evening with happy hour drinks and apps at an awesome Irish pub in Mizner Park called The Dubliner - fabulous :)

Day 2:  Miami
Drove into Miami around 1pm, lunched on Lincoln Road (tons of shops and restaurants), cruised up and down South Beach, checked out the downtown area, hit up happy hour at Rickenbacker Fish Company (frozen mojito = my new fave cocktail), then headed to Little Havana for dinner at Versailles.  Versailles is the most authentic/famous Cuban restaurant in Miami and it is DELISH.

Day 3:  Beach time!
We had lunch in Deerfield Beach (a few miles South of Boca) at the Whale's Rib (incredible seafood, cheap pitchers of beer), then hit the beach for a couple of hours.  When we got home, Maya was hinting that she was very bored and needed to run so we found a dog park to take her to - she loved it :)  Finished the night with take out while veggin' on the couch.

Day 4:  Fort Lauderdale
Sarah and I headed south to Fort Lauderdale while Grego did some work for the day.  We came across Las Olas Blvd which is an adorable street lined with boutiques and amazing restaurants.  We drove along the beach and into downtown, then found ourselves back on Las Olas for lunch at Noodles Panini.  We munched on incredible Italian bread and sandwiches.  We finished our trip by driving through neighborhoods and checking out the ginormous and beautiful homes along the waterway.  The size of the houses and yachts was ridic.

Day 5:  Delray Beach

Boo boo and I slept in then drove a few miles north to Delray Beach.  Another adorable place - Atlantic Ave is the main drag throughout town and you can tell it's a place that's poppin' at night.  She and I walked up and down the street, venturing into boutiques and perusing menus along the way.  We enjoyed some coffee then got back into the car to cruise A1A.  We returned to Boca, picked up pizza from Tucci's, a bottle of wine and came home to watch our reality shows (or trash as Grego says).

I hate that Sarah leaves today :(  We've had so much fun and it's just great to have her here.  I'm trying to convince her to move down after she graduates from grad school hehe.  Greg's parents will be here in a few weeks which should be lots of fun too!

See ya!
