Just after we got off the slopes on our first day, it started snowing and didn't stop til the next afternoon! Greg and his friends were so pumped about the fresh powder that they were on the lifts by 8:30.
Since the first day of skiing went well being in a newbie class, I decided to sign up for two more days of lessons.
My group for three days |
After my class ended each day, I would meet up with Greg so we could do a few runs together. I was able to keep up for the most part but I'm looking forward to when I'm able to speed down beside him!
He was holding my poles so I could take the pic, but looks like he's skiing :) |
We had a dinner reservation at 6 so we went back and showered then rode the shuttle to Cafe Diva. The restaurant was in the village adjacent to the slopes.
Love those two |
The food was so good and the restaurant was adorable inside. It was super cozy and had a great ambiance. Greg and I were being indecisive on what to order since everything sounded amazing so we ended up sharing our meals.
Elk tenderloin with mashed potatoes and veggies |
Pork chop with veggies |
My class and I began the day warming up and working on technique. Then for lunch we took the gondola up to the restaurant at the top of the mountain. Afterwards we did a little exploring and rode our way down, which took about an hour.
We finished the class with a few more runs off of the intermediate lift then I met up with Grego to have some fun!
Messin' around |

Hangin' out in 3+ feet of snow |
It was a great way to end the day but my knees felt like they were going to give out on me so we called it a day.
I'll be back soon with the rest!
