Part 3: Charleston

Once we arrived in Charleston, we checked into our hotel, The Meeting Street Inn, then headed out to walk the streets a bit.

That night we had dinner at Magnolia's.. it was a precious place with amazing southern cuisine.

The next morning we went on a carriage tour around the city.  It was pretty entertaining and we saw so many beautiful homes from the 18th century and on.

For lunch, we decided on a local place called Cru Cafe.  I had a delicious portabello mushroom wrap with Asian slaw as a side.  All of our meals were beyond amazing and super fresh.  I'd suggest this to anyone visiting Charleston.

Notice the name of the street = Motley Cru

We finished the afternoon with a tour of the home shown below.  This was Nathaniel Russell's home built in 1808.  It was gorgeous and so impressive.  I wish I could have taken pictures inside, but no cameras were allowed :(

For our last night of the trip we had a casual dinner at a local Irish Pub, Tommy Condon's.  It was a perfect way to end the trip.

I hated to leave the family on Wednesday morning, but it was time to get back to Boca.  The trip was a blast and it was nice to spend quality time with the fam.

Now it's time to detox from all of the fun over the last week and a half!!
