4th of July

Time to recap our 4th of July!  Better late than never, right?

After I got home from the race at the Y, we hung out for a while then got ready to head to Delray.  Lots of vendors had set up food trucks, activities and lemonade/beer stands along A1A.

60 foot American flag - awesome!!

Ice cold cider
We stopped into a cute pizza place for a snack
I ordered a three mushroom and ate half - it was a huge slice!
Shortly after pizza, we headed back to the apartment to hang with Maya and walk her.

Then it was time for happy hour at one of our faves, Kapow.

Best Brussels sprouts and cauliflower ever!
We both had a few drinks and shared appetizers while chatting and enjoying the evening.  Around 7:30 we walked back to the apartment to suit up and hop on our bikes.
We rode a couple of miles to our favorite beach spot to watch the fireworks.

The night couldn't have been more perfect.

Cheers!  Vino in plastic cups :)

By the time the works started, there were hundreds of boats lined up to watch the show!

We were able to see three different shows - Ft. Lauderdale, Pompano Beach and Deerfield.  It was incredible!
By far the best fourth of July Greg and I have spent together so far.

I'll be back soon with a recap of our Washington D.C. trip and happenings here in the boro.  Hope you're having a great week!!
