Tuxes & Lots of Dough

Hey guys!

I hope you had a nice weekend and that your week is off to a great start!

Wedding Update
We have knocked off one of the last big items on our wedding to-do list:  the groom/groomsmen tuxes!!

We'd been talking about making a trip to a few stores to check out suits and tuxes for months now.  Finally, we bit the bullet and went for it on Saturday!  We stopped into Jos. A Bank first, but that was a huge fail.  The salesman was not at all interested in helping us and was just not a nice guy.  So after two minutes in there, we left and went to Men's Warehouse.

The two ladies who helped us were awesome!  They listened to what we wanted and worked from there.  After a few minutes, we picked out the tux, color combos, and placed the order.

We chose a charcoal grey Vera Wang tux.  Greg will wear an ivory vest underneath with an ivory tie (this is not the tie he'll wear).

The groomsmen will wear a white shirt underneath with a purple tie (not the exact tie below):

The guys are going to look soooo handsome!  Feels good to have that done :)

Rainy Saturday = Baking Time
After the mall, we went on a baking mission.  I had the urge to bake homemade whole wheat sandwich bread and Grego tackled homemade french bread.

I followed this recipe for the whole wheat bread.  It was simple to follow and didn't take too much time.  And guess what?  It turned out waaaay better than expected!!!

The recipe makes three good size loaves.

We froze one loaf, saved one to use as sandwich bread for the week, and crushed a good bit of one right when it came out of the oven :)  Yum!

Greg's french bread took a lot more steps and turned out tasting great, just a little hard.

The rest of the evening was spent watching movies and relaxing due to the torrential downpour outside!

Have a great Tuesday!
